    Wade,
Jesus said, “I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so all that put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark.” (John 12:46 NLT)
So, sermons that influence people to trust Jesus are better than what hand to use while shaking hands.
Did you hear about the preacher asking over and over, “What must you be to go to heaven?” Finally, a boy yelled, “You got to be dead!”

    Hah! 🙂

I laughed out loud at your comment about which hand to shake. I was just giving some historical/cultural commentary on a man having his RIGHT hand withered.

I also laughed at your joke. 🙂

    Wade,
Many years ago, our church took our youth to have ‘Vacation Bible School’ in Mexico. Our present pastor preached on Sunday to the local church. His whole sermon was on how much larger the sun is than earth. The people didn’t believe he was our pastor. Sometimes his sermons still are on something he has learned that’s interesting.
I’ve told him several times that my father said he hated a sermon that didn’t mention the name of Jesus.
I like what Paul wrote: “That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT)
Oh, the boy saying, “You got to be dead”, really happened.
