Wade,
One time I asked your dad was Peter wrong about it being necessary to be baptized to receive the Holy Spirit:
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized…in the name of Jesus…and ye shall receive the Holy Ghost.” (Acts 2:38 KJ)
because Gentiles received the Holy Spirit while Peter was talking to them:
“While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. (Acts 10:44 KJ)
Your dad told me Peter was on a learning curve.
Wade,
Just had cataract surgery on my left eye where I can see 20/15. 😊
“If you have 20/15 vision, you can see things at 20 feet that people with normal 20/20 vision can see at 15 feet. This means you have vision that is better than 20/20.”
My right eye gets ‘work on’ later.
Wade,
I guess most of the world believes Oswald killed President JFK.
James Tague wrote a 426-page book, “LBJ and the Kennedy Killing”. I became his friend, and this is some of his book: The night before JFK had a parade in Dallas, 23 people including LBJ, met and planed how to kill him by using four snipers: One used the West window on the top floor of the Texas School Book Depository building, and one used the East window. Another used trees and bushes on a grassy knoll, and another used a picket fence. When JFK’s car stopped between two yellow lines which were equal distant between the snipers, they killed him as Oswald was eating in the cafeteria.

Wade,
What do you think about this?
Who Wrote First, Second, and Third John?
I believe 1st John was written by John the apostle, and the other two were written by a church elder because their writings are much different.
FIRST REASON
In 1st John, the writer does not identify himself whereas Second and Third John start: “Greetings this letter is from John the elder.”
SECOND REASON
The elder said: “Dear friend, you are being faithful to God when you care for the traveling teachers…” (Third John 1:5 NLT) What did these traveling teachers teach that this elder approved? I believe Paul had a ‘collision’ with them:
“…some so-called Christians there; false ones really…They sneaked in to spy on us and take away the freedom we have in Christ Jesus. They wanted to enslave us…to follow their Jewish regulations. But we refused…” (Galatians 2:4-5 NLT)
THIRD REASON
“I sent a brief letter to the church about this, but proud Diotrephes, who loves to push himself forward as the leader of the Christians there, does not admit my authority over him and refuses to listen to me. When I come, I will tell you some of the things he is doing and what wicked things he is saying about me and what insulting language he is using. He not only refuses to welcome the missionary travelers, but tells others not to…” (Third John 1:6-10 Living Bible)
I think Diotrephes practiced Paul’s words “…If any man preaches any other gospel unto you, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:9 KJ)

Hey REX RAY,
It is hard to keep up with how much of what has been ‘handed down’ is being rejected by modern Baptists, in the way of the revelation of the ten commandments and Our Lord’s commandments,
and in the way of the rejection of the Lord’s Prayer, and in the way of the confusion over which books and authors of sacred Scripture are suspect as being wrong. . . . .
I try to follow all these changes, but like I said, it is hard to keep up with all of it, so ‘at least I tried’ even if I don’t understand it all.
Hope you are well. The summer heat is brutal and dangerous, so take care.
