Meet Wade Burleson
Wade Burleson is the President of Istoria Ministries, a 501-C3 non-profit that serves as an educational and religious charity with the purpose of making Christ known to the nations so that His Story can become central to all our stories. Istoria specifically concentrates on promoting a Kingdom view of the world. From 1992 to 2022, Wade served as Lead Pastor of the Emmanuel Enid, Oklahoma, He previously served as Senior Pastor of Sheridan Road Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma (1987-1992). While in Tulsa, he was appointed chaplain for the Tulsa Police Department, From 1982 to 1987, Wade served as pastor of First Baptist Church, Holdenville, Oklahoma (1985-1987). In 2002, Wade was elected as the President of the Oklahoma Baptist General Convention in 2002. Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating appointed Wade to the Board of Higher Education for Northwestern Oklahoma in 1996. Wade served as a trustee of the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention from 2005 to 2008. Wade’s hobbies include chronology, genealogy, and historiography. Wade’s wife, Dr. Rachelle Burleson, is the Chief Nursing Officer of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Enid, Oklahoma. Wade and Rachelle have four married children and four grand children, and a host of friends from around he world.
