Wade,
There’s a saying you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. I believe learning Hebrew applies to me. smile
Rex,
Maybe so, but I’ve never seen an old dog (your phrase, not mine) know SO MANY TRICKS as you! 🙂
Wade,
You’ve never met my twin brother. That seemed to be his goal in life. When we were kids, he had a lot of practice on our younger sisters. When we got candy, he’d play like he was a monkey and hop around saying, “Feed the monkey”. After they give him their candy, he delighted in telling how good it tasted. Once they were crying to mother that he had tricked them into freezing their tongues to the ice department in our refrigerator. His trick of throwing dirt clods on a neighbor’s house ended up with Mother removing birdshot from his leg. Our family was driving in Holland, and had stopped in front of a house while our Dad was doing something. There were five pair of wooden shoes on the porch. He put them in a pile. He got our cousin who was in college to take a bite of a broadacre apple that was in his refrigerator.
You miss your twin brother a lot, don’t you, REX RAY?
Good memories.
CHRISTIANE,
You’re very perceptive. Yes, I miss my brother, but we’ll meet again in the Land that knows no parting.
Yes, REX RAY,
I believe that to be true with all my heart.
God is good. We rest on Him. He gives us peace in our grief for our beloved who have ‘gone ahead’ s to be with Him. 🙂
