President Joe Biden told Democrats last night (October 6, 2022) that the world was on the verge of Armageddon. Not since 1962 and the Cuban Missile Crisis, said Mr. Biden, have we faced such potential massive destruction of our cities and country.
I’m reminded of Isaiah 3 when the LORD spoke to the people of Judah through the prophet Isaiah. The LORD said that destruction and desolation were coming to Jerusalem and their land. War, pandemics, famine, water shortages, violence, and the collapse of the economy and destruction of the cities were all on the near horizon for Judah, said the LORD.
The only difference between Mr. Biden’s speech and the LORD’S proclamation in Isaiah 3 is that the LORD gives the reason for the coming destruction of Judah.
And they (the people of Judah) display their sin like Sodom; they do not even conceal it. This is why the woes are coming to them! They have done it to themselves.” (Isaiah 3:9)
Wade,
perhaps Biden refers to the threat of nuclear war beginning if Russia uses nukes to bomb the people of the Ukraine?
Putin is ‘trapped’ in a web of his own design, I think, in this way:
he was likely told by his oligarchs and generals that his armed forces were prepared to ‘take over’ Ukraine and reclaim it as a part of the old USSR ’empire’,
but the Russian forces are failing badly. . . . . hence Putin raises the threat of using atomic weapons if he does not get his way.
We’ve been living on borrowed time ever since the beginnings of the atomic age . . . . there will be no ‘survivors’ of an atomic war, no.
When Putin started to attack his neighboring country, even Sweden and Finland sought to enter into NATO for their protection, and the US and NATO re-inforced defenses in the Baltic states, where some of my daughter in law’s family lived in Latvia.
It’s a small world. We won’t survive a nuclear holocaust, no. We need to pray, yes.
What ever happened to obedience to God and love for others by taking the “vaccine”?
CHRISTIANE,
No survivors? After two atomic bombs hit them, the small country of Japan has survived quite well.
I believe anyone quoting Biden to prove a point is in BAD shape.
REX RAY,
I’m talking about WWIII.
Putin wants to ‘restore’ the old USSR as it was under communist dictatorship. He is ‘ex’ KGB and has of course already made himself ‘dictator’ of Russia.
I’m inviting my daughter-in-law’s family to come live here IF Putin shows the kinds of aggression that I think WILL COME IF:
1. Trump wins in ’24
2. Trump pulls the USA out of NATO
3. Putin attacks the Baltic states including Latvia, my daughter-in-law’s homeland (she grew up under Russian control in Latvia when the USSR was in existence)
it could happen – Trump will change EVERYTHING, you bet
Christiane,
Getting too close to a mother bear and her cubs will most definitely provoke an attack from the mother bear. Putin is not the aggressor here, but the US needs Americans to think he is in order to accomplish their goals.

I think Wade maybe talking about the USA, not Russia. He will have to clarify that himself. You got off on a tangent, maybe. I see very few countries right now that seem righteous for the most part. (By country, I mean their governments)
Also, I think Jesus will return someday, not to a world with no hope, but to a world in a serious revival. I just can not see Jesus returning to a world full of evil people and full of destruction. Does not seem right to me.
New subject. Oklahoma vs. Texas football. Oklahoma zero; Texas 49.
Wade, you know how big a joker my brother-in-law Rollie is. He said maybe all those Texas players that Oklahoma had ‘played’ for Texas.
Rex,
That OU vs. Texas game was “painful.”
Ouch! But, I still believe in Brent Venables! 🙂
Christiane,
Very perceptive. That said, I – like Ray – have lost trust in anything Mr. Biden says.
Hello Wade,
I can easily celebrate any American who chooses to think for themselves and decide for themselves who is trust-worthy. So you and Rex Ray at least know how you feel from the information you both have gathered.
Sometimes, though, having examined news media ‘sources’ on the whole, I might wish for people in our country to have wider sources of information to draw from. But that also is a matter of personal free choice which I can celebrate indeed. So it goes . . . . we are a free people! 🙂
Wade, I think party loyalties and issues might sometimes play an important role in the individuals that people support.
One example you might be interested in:
in American history from almost 100 years ago, in the 1930’s, was a politician in North Dakota named William (Wild Bill) Langer. (His story helps me to comprehend better what is happening these days among good people with their politics.)
His story is bizarre, and funny, and colorful . . . a true American political romp involving scandals, convictions, getting thrown out of office, barricading in his office and refusing to resign, his supporters demanding that he stay in office, and eventually the people were able to get their beloved ‘Wild Bill’ back into office and went on to elect him to the US Senate. I think you might enjoy reading about this true American ‘legend’. 🙂
In short, we Americans like our political theatre and we like whom we like, and SOMETIMES our choices may be less than ‘perfect’ but in a free country, every now and then will come a William (Wild Bill) Langer and the people just loved that guy.
These politicians are larger than life, and Langer’s story will give you a chuckle. There are certain ‘parallels’ in it to today’s scene, but it is just another example of our diverse and exciting American political history.
I dread the day when people may no longer be able to decide for themselves and I dread the day when people lose their ‘voices’ and are not able to vote their OWN choices into office. . . . a day when their own votes are ‘set aside’ and an alternative slate of electors cancels them out,
but if that day comes, at least we know we had a history when the ‘great experiment’ in American freedom and self-governance was given a chance, and we are a part of that history. I hope our freedom lasts. It’s messy and people ‘disagree’ and in the end some kind of consensus hopefully prevails that arises out of the deep struggles of all of us to take stands and speak up for what we hope will help better to come. 🙂
CHRISTIANE,
I believe Biden couldn’t find any Easter eggs even if he was the one that hid them.
My uncle Rex was a missionary to China 30 years. One time he was going to peach in a small village. They believed if a person died in their house, the house had to be burned to destroy evil spirits. A woman was so sick, she had been removed from her house. They asked Rex to care for her. He told them he wasn’t a doctor. They told him if he didn’t try, he might as well forget about preaching.
Rex had a digestion problem and always had Tums. He gave her some and prayed God would make her well. Within an hour, the woman was cooking a meal for her family as her indigestion was over. Many were saved.
Uncle Rex managed a lumber yard and knew the importance of keeping books before being a missionary. On his first assignment to a hospital in China, he asked the head guy who checked the books. “We’re not going to waste the Lord’s money; we keep our own books.”
Rex smelled a ‘rat’. He hired a Pinkerton detective who discovered a warehouse with enough hospital equipment for another hospital. (The rat had ordered two of everything and put one in the warehouse. He was retiring that year and planned to have his own hospital in America.
Rex reported it to Baptist authorities. They took the equipment, but let the rat retire with ‘honor’ saying it would give Baptist a ‘black eye’ to expose him.
Rex was assigned to the Baptist Stout Memorial Hospital. He asked the ‘Head guy’ who checked the hospital books. He replied, “We don’t waist the Lord’s money, we check them ourselves.” Rex didn’t think that ethical and smelled a ‘rat’. He hired a Pinkerton detective to follow him. Through the years every time he ordered hospital equipment, he’d ordered two and put one in his warehouse. He was retiring that year and had planned to start his own hospital. Rex reported it to Baptist authorities, and they retrieved the warehouse equipment, but let the ‘rat’ retire without exposing him for the reason it’d give Baptist a ‘blackeye’.
I think the ‘machine’ woke up.
My Uncle Rex was in charge of running a lumber yard and knew the importance of keeping books. As a missionary he was assigned to a hospital where he asked the ‘head guy’ who checked its books.
“We don’t waste the Lord’s money; we checked them ourselves.”
Rex hired a Pinkerton detective to follow him. The detective found a warehouse full of hospital equipment. The guy was retiring that year and through the years he’d ordered two of everything because he planned to have his own hospital.
Aksmet, (machine) you are dumber than Biden and you are running Wade’s blog.
testing the ‘machine’:

soon, we will be able to witness again for the rights of people whose stories have been silenced, either by death or politics
perhaps the dead will be heard again when it is ‘okay’ for the truth to come out and be told as things happened in the past
lives matter, yes
and we also need to stop trying to silence those who lived through torment because of hatred and racism deeply entrenched so as to be ‘normalized’ by them what keep the nightmares going – may God have mercy!
REX RAY,
I cannot make any sense out of ‘the machine’. I know Wade is truthful and I agree with you, the ‘machine’ is out of control and it’s not Wade’s doing, no.
GIs had become fathers of Korean babies. Many of their mothers wanted Rex to take their babies to America. He brought 12. Two girls were adopted by Roy Rogers and Dale Evans.
When Billy Graham came to Korea, he was preaching to 5,000. A storm hit, cutting off the speakers, but they could still hear him. More than 600 accepted Jesus.
After a chiropractor treated my back, he told me to take a hot bath. I picked up our newspaper in the yard and laid it by the bathtub. My back hurt so bad, it took a long time to get in the bathtub. I got the water very hot. I picked up the newspaper and started reading. Something wiggled on my stomach. I raised the paper, and a small grass snake’s forked tongue stopped within an inch of my nose. I arose feeling no pain like the song, Up from the grave he arose.
Beautiful examples, REX RAY

Wade,
I sent you the story of my Uncle Rex. It had GIs were fathers of Korean women. It should be they were fathers of Korean babies. He brought 12 to America. Roy Rogers and Dale Evans adopted two babies.
Wade,
Old story: After a chiropractor treated my back pain, he told me to take a hot bath. I picked up our newspaper in the front yard and laid it by the bathtub. I hurt so bad; it took a long time to get in the bathtub. I got the water hotter and hotter. I picked up the newspaper and started reading. Something wiggled on my stomach. I raised the paper, and a grass shake’s forked tongue stopped within an inch of my nose. I arose feeling no pain like the song: Up from the grave he arose.
Rex,
I’ve been in New Orleans for a week! I DID receive the stories! Amazing. You need to put all these stories together and publish a BOOK!
